Oak and Derby LLC operates oakderby.com. This policy describes our website and correspondence. We link to independent retailers; we do not accept orders or payment information on this site.

Information you provide

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. The partnership form asks for your name, email, brand or website, and message. When you submit the form, Netlify processes and stores your submission for us so we can respond. You can also contact us directly by email. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Information used to deliver the website

Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP addresses and request information. Product images load from Beacons’ image servers, which receive technical information when your browser requests those images. The collaborations page embeds TikTok videos. TikTok receives technical information, such as IP address and browser details, when the video player loads or is used. Our email is handled through Google Workspace. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy practices.

How we use and disclose information

We use correspondence to respond to inquiries, discuss partnerships, maintain necessary business records, and address security or legal matters. We keep contact details private and do not sell them or provide them to brands for their marketing. Hosting and email providers process information to provide their services. We may disclose information when required by law or as reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or address abuse.

Cookies and tracking

Our own website code does not set tracking cookies, use advertising pixels, or run visitor analytics. The newsletter signup loads an embedded Kit form, and Kit processes subscription-related data under its own privacy practices. Embedded TikTok players may use cookies or similar technologies under TikTok’s privacy practices. Providers may process technical data for service delivery and security. We do not use our site to track visitors across websites for advertising. Our code does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. External retailers and platforms may collect information and use cookies under their own policies when you visit them; we do not control their tracking practices.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse without sending us an inquiry. To ask about information in our correspondence, request access, correct it, or request deletion, email oak@oakderby.com. We will review and respond to your request and may need to verify it using limited information. We may retain records needed for legal obligations, disputes, security, or legitimate business recordkeeping. Provider backups and records may follow separate retention schedules. Rights available under applicable law are not limited by this policy.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence as needed to handle inquiries and partnerships and meet business or legal needs. We use HTTPS for this website and provider security features, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children and newsletter subscriptions

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us. If you choose to subscribe, Kit processes your email address, subscription and confirmation records, and technical information used to deliver and secure the signup form and emails. Kit may record email opens and link clicks using its email tools. We use subscriber information to send the newsletter and manage subscriptions. Confirm your subscription using the email you receive. You can unsubscribe using the link in each marketing email or contact us to request deletion. Limited suppression records may be retained to respect unsubscribes. Sending a partnership inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Purchases are completed on third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies. Provider information: Netlify Privacy, Google Privacy, Kit Privacy, Beacons Privacy, and TikTok Privacy.
